This is a lesson plan that I taught in March as a part of Unit 4 on China, Japan, and Southeast Asia. The entire unit took approximately 5 weeks to teach. However, the lesson on Japan took a little over 2 weeks. The following attachments are included in this lesson.

1. Chapter 8 Lesson 3 "Samurai and Shoguns" (Lesson Plan)- the format I used came from a training I went to in January called Direct Interactive Instruction.
2. Chapter 8 Lesson 3 Outline- I created this outline based on the reading from the textbook which is McDougall Littell.
3. Powerpoint used as an agenda for students to write into their planners. It includes the standard and objective for the students to see.
