At the Columbia University web site I found a section called

... "Jewels in Her Crown: Treasures of Columbia University Libraries" ... where there are quite a number of artifacts from Korea, Japan and China. In particular I was amused by a(n) handkerchief with tiny writing on it used as a "cheat sheet" during the Civil Service exams, supposedly from the late Imperial period. (Item #30)

A cheat sheet? How interesting. I will definitely take a look at the website. Thanks.

I read an article in the Korean Times about the rampant cheating that is going on in various schools in Korea, particularly high schools. Currently, there is a popular website where students can design cheat soda cans--students submit whatever information they would want to use during a test and at the end, you get a customized soda can with all your information. To another person, it looks like a normal soda can but if you are a label reader, you are in for a surprise. I thought it was funny but disturbing at the same time.[Edit by="seun on Jan 8, 4:25:46 PM"][/Edit]
