This website shows Riverside, California's Chinese American history through the people, places, and archaeology. You can learn about the Chinese experience, here, and the contributions of Riverside's Chinese pioneers. A test excavation yielded artifacts, which are in the Riverside Metropolitan Museum, but the majority of the site has yet to be professionally excavated. It is fenced and covered with protective soil. High school students do a scavenger hunt to visit historic sites in Riverside, and it was hard to find this one, years ago, because it just looks like an empty field with chain link around it. It is hoped that one day there will be enough funds to fully excavate and most likely build a Chinese American History Museum on the site, or at least send all of the artifacts to the Riverside Metropolitan Museum.
