The website I reviewed is called Asia for Educators it is an initiative of the Weatherhead East Asian Institute at Columbia University. The website is designed for the use of both students and educators. The website contains timelines, key points, primary sources (dbq) and lesson plans. All these can be found for various regions in East Asia including; China, Japan and Korea. Furthermore, the website is divided up into time periods which makes it very easy to look through the website and find material.
I would definitely use this website because it has a vast number of primary sources. When developing a unit about the philosophers for world history I would integrate selections from the Confucian Analects, Selections from the Laozi, and selections from the Lotus Sutra on Buddhism. Most of the times when student western philosophers a lot of the resources available are those of Greek and European sources, it would be interesting to integrate a different perspective for the students to analyze.
