The Japanese American National Museum is located in Little Tokoy, Downtown Los Angeles. I plan to take students there next year on a field trip. The best thing is their Website (Though Admittedly a bit Dated) contains several resources pertaining to Japanese Internment (A subject that is in our curriculum for U.S. History).

The resource page links to several Video/Maps/Project resources that can utilized to enhance or further knowledge on Japanese Internment, Executive Order 9066 and Japanese American ancestry. Teacher will also find six lesson plans designed specifical to supplement a museum visit!

On the lighter side of East-Asian educational websites comedian Conan O'Brien created a website for his show's travels to Korea. The videos, though obviously humourous and entertaining in nature could be used as a light introduction to discuss tensions in Korea or Korean Culture as a whole. An advisory that some of the jokes are tad risque and maybe suited for older teens (11th-12th grade). Conan does a good job of investigating important aspects of Korean culture with his own brand comedy. The section about the DMZ is charmingly funny while at the same time fascinating.
