I am a Knowles Science Teacher Fellow and last year they told us about http://scienceformonks.org. This is a group of Tibetan monks that want to further their understanding of science and to bridge the gap between science and Buddhism. I know in the past they have been open to working with Western educators and I just wanted to share this resource!
