The Program for Teaching East Asia at the University of Colorado offers online workshops for teachers with curriculum projects that are then uploaded to share online. The lesson modules are offered as Texts and Contexts (K-6th), Imaging Japanese History, Cultural Encounters: Teaching Japan in World History, and Becoming Modern: Early 20th Century Japan Through Primary Sources. The site is easily searchable for teachers and the lesson plans are aligned to the Common Core and come with the lesson plan, activities, assessments, and handouts. Students with access to technology could access the site in order to download the primary source documents (webquest like). Overall, an excellent resource for ELA and World History educators. If teachers are fully interested in taking part in the online seminars, there is an application and deadlines for submission.
