    The Korea Society
    Site URL: http://www.koreasociety.org/
This site provides a great variety of resources for educators K-12. It contains articles on culture, environment, history, social conflicts and globalization. There is also a whole section on Korean Language lessons that could be interesting to show to our students. The mission of the Korean Society is to create awareness and form a stronger relationship between the US and Korea; for this reason, they hold conferences, workshops, lectures, and art exhibits. They are located in New York, but on the site you can find videos, audios and podcast that can be integrated into your lesson plans.
There is a wonderful section on Korean Cuisine; here is a direct link to it: http://www.koreasociety.org/tag/cuisine.html. I believe students will love this part more than anything else.

The Korea Society used to have a Summer Fellowship program which served as professional development for teachers. Those summer programs led to teachers sharing the lesson plans/curriculum units. There is a treasure trove of lesson plans on this site. There are lessons plans based on Korean time periods, and lesson plans that can be infused into other curriculum. For example, there are lesson plans to write a document-based essay, Korean poetry, and a lesson plan comparing the U.S. civil rights movement with the Korean pro-democracy movement. This site should be a "go to" for introducing Korean history and literature into a high school classroom. http://www.koreasociety.org/korean-studies/new_educational_resources_page.html
