Could someone comment on the Manchu Gardens that were destroyed in 1860 by the British and French? I'd be interested in the exact circumstances that led to the 1860 "Second Opium War"

the second opium war was against Qing dynasty and was for over 4 years but as edukleth said some account on Manchu Gardens destruction would be good.
