I have enjoyed using Columbia University's Asia for Educators website (linked above). It has proven useful for accessing lots of good primary sources (which are available in downloadable PDF's), several excellent lesson plan ideas, and good essays that examine the cultural, social, political, and economic life of East Asia in various historical periods. I have used this sight in preparation for my classes, and I have directed students to the site to aid them in their own research. HIGHLY recommended - I think that it ranks as one of the top historical sites that I have encountered.

Yes they do have great lesson plans. I agree, I also do rank this as one of the top historical sites that I also came upon.

Yeah, I am trying to incorporate some stuff from Asia for Educators in my unit plan, Specifically their section on the grandeur of the Qing.
Yay for summer homework!

Wow! What a coincidence...I found this website too and did a review on it. Didn't you love how the kid friendly section had so many topics to explore? With our students' varied interests, it is important to have variety!

Oh my god, they have a whole powerpoint on Mandalas. Thank you, I will use this soo much in my classroom. One of the ESL units, the writing project is to have the students make mandalas. Oh my god, thank you much!!!
