As my students and I continue to work through the unit I designed based on our trip, I discovered this article and shared it with my 7th grade English class. We did a close read of it and have spent the last two days annotating the text. This is the fourth in a series of articles, speeches, and essays about narrative, remembering, and keeping history alive. They will take what they have gleaned from these articles and either revise or reaffirm their initial conjecture about the importance of the narrative for shaping or reframing history.
