Prior to the reunion weekend, Jonathan will distribute a formal evaluation form for everyone to complete. While the experience is still fresh in your minds, however, please take a moment to think about the following:
1. Many of you have taught for many years. You've read a lot about China. You've seen documentaries, you've heard lectures about China. You've been telling your students about China for years. None of you, though, had previously been there. How does having visited China affect your ability to teach about it? What can you do now that you couldn't do before? What can you now do more effectively?
2. Our tour was quite different from the sort of tour many China visitors take. How did the nature of the tour affect the experience?
3. What moments/events were the most precious? Define this any way you please -- for you as a teacher, for you as a person.
4. At our farewell banquet in Shanghai, people at our table started discussing the question: What new questions do you have about China? What questions has the experience and the added knowledge stimulated?
