In the midst of all the Orientation activities, one question I forgot to ask was whether or not we will have the option to earn UCLA or Loyola Marymount credits for the study tour experience and the research / work we do as our end product. In the initial packet of information, I believe there was brief mention of this. If we can earn credits, how many (semester or quarter, extension or regular) credits, and how much would it cost? And if we do have the option to earn credits, would we be able to alert our school districts before the beginning of the school year? Thanks.

I'll leave it to Jonathan to address LMU options. For UCLA Extension, 2 quarter units are available to those meeting all the tour requirements (taking the experience into your classroom and sharing it with colleagues) and completing a reflective essay on the journey. The two units cost a total of $125 and can be awarded after the follow-up session in the fall. [Edit by="Clay Dube on Jun 1, 3:28:11 PM"][/Edit]

    Outstanding!
I would love to get credit. Either LMU or UCLA would be great.

Thats a good question that I should have responded to at the Orientation...LMU can offer Extension Credits at $50 per credit......up to 6.....We can do the paperwork when we return from China and I can get a transcript out by Sept 1...i think
