I knew something about all of you, having evaluated your applications this year and last, and some I knew from having taught in the seminar at Pitzer College or other activities. Meeting each of you in person and joining this wonderful group was terrific. I envy your students. What wonderful ideas you have for converting all of this into something they can explore! Ever onward! April 27, 2004 at 11:55 am #23332Anonymous GuestHaving placed names, faces, and some personalites together, I am very excited about our journey to China. It was a pleasure getting oriented with all of you--looking forward to learning much, eating well, sweating some, and living fully! kvp April 28, 2004 at 2:59 pm #23333Anonymous GuestGee, maybe I'm too macho to say it was a "lovely" time (damn that Cuban-Mexican in me). Intriguing, stimulating, intense, and thought provoking come to mind. Thanks for the future memories... Karen VanP, I think your eloquence said it all (and you didn't use the word lovely). Ed May 5, 2004 at 7:07 am #23334Anonymous GuestHi All Not sure whether I can handle all these threads.....was looking for a handle to tie all these threads together. I do want all of you to know that I have been health-challenged in the last year (some of you knew that I have been dealing with two cancers.....adneoid cystic and a melanoma....and yesterday, I received a clean bill of health...the latest biospy was negative. So I will pick up on Karen's note...live fully...Robin has been putting together some exciting and new opportunities for us to see and experience inside China...we are arranging for more home visits and school visits... Other news include the NoCal are wait listed out of SFO for Tokyo but are ticketed through LAX (the tickets are paid for...) and I'll try to get the group picture out to everyone tonight.
