This is a website I recommend for anyone interested in teaching and learning about different countries in Asia and their history and culture:

           afe.easia.columbia.edu

The website is teacher friendly and can be used by students as well.  It is full of information on the geography, art, religion and history of Japan, China, Korea, Vietnam and South Asia.  Resources are organized by specific country and time periods and include chronological timelines, lesson plans, primary sources with DBQ's, videos and links to additional Asian studies resources such as to the children's museum, other world areas, language network resources and Education about Asia magazine.  I think this website is a good source of information and resources and teachers can greatly benefit from using it.  It would be a good resource for students as well because the information is organized by topic and includes maps, text and videos that students can utilize if they are doing research or studying primary texts.   This website would be especially useful for students because of its primary historical texts with guiding questions.  I really enjoyed reading some of these and about the history and timelines of many of the events and movements, attitudes and people we have learned about in class.
