What is the history of garden plant domestication in China?  Sign up for this symposium at the Huntington Library to learn more about how Chinese horticulturalists have domesticated so many beautiful plants from lotuses to peonies.  The day is planned according to various sessions.  I am particularly interested in the 10:20 morning session titled “The Resurrection of Ginkgo: Cultural Co-option and the Multiple Values of Trees” because of my love for beautiful the tree.  I am looking forward to learning many facts and interesting details about the ginkgo.  Honestly, the entire day sounds intriguing.  The sessions are led by experts in their field.  Take a look at the website for more information:  https://www.huntington.org/events/symposium-mountains-garden-domestication-garden-plants-china?sd=1550334600&ed=1550365200.
