My name is Catherine and I oversee the professional development program at the USC U.S.-China Institute. We have a great line-up for this seminar, so I'm excited for it to start and to meet all of you!
My name is Scott Craig. I teach history at Sylmar High School. This will be my third seminar with USC U.S.-China Institute. The previous seminars that I've taken have been absolutely fabulous and I learned so much. I'm really looking forward to this seminar.
My name is Xiaowei Hunt. I teach high school Chinese 1, 2, 3 and AP Chinese Language & Culture at Ed W. Clark High School. I feel fortunate to have the PD opportunity to do some research and discussion with all involved in the 2019 summer seminar. My principal and my supervisor are both very supportive with me learning and implementing lesson plans from this seminar. I look forward to a great week at USC U.S.-China Institute.
My name is Deanna Wiist. I teach high school Regional World Studies, Human Geography, AP Human Geography, and Dual Credit Western Civilization at Normal West High School in Normal, Illinois. I am really excited to have the opportunity to meet everyone and participate in this PD on East Asia. It’ll be my first trip to Los Angeles too. I very much look forward to a great week of learning.
