    I recommend this website: https://yokai.com/

This website is a searchable database for Japanese ghosts and monsters. I use this with my students abour Halloween when I teach them about a few select Yokai. These creatures can be violent or mature, so I recommend curating a list of yokai to give students to either research independly or in groups.

The bar the the top helps readers to find a yokai quickly, but only if you know its Japanese name. If you are looking to explore, click "Finder" and you can look up creatures by region (where they would show up or where stories of them originated), type of yokai (animal or object), habitat, or even religious connection (if avaliable).

I even used this in my English course before in a Unit about Folklore around the World.

How might you use this resource?
