One thing I use in my global politics class is analyzing if KPop is a legitimate factor of Soft Power.

    https://www.bbc.com/culture/article/20200309-the-soft-power-roots-of-k-pop

I start out by saying what brands are popular worldwide and how that shapes how the US is viewed.

I then use this article from the BBC as a way of looking at how South Korea sponsered Kpop, and why it is effective. Personally, several of my students are obsessed with Kpop, so its a great way of covering a topic that can be somewhat difficult to understand, because it is harder to see soft power compared to hard power.
