The 1990 Institute offers workshops and teaching resources online namely through its annual conference in Northern California. The website has a wealth of lesson plans on a variety of topics from the Hukou System to Economics in Modern China. But, what I found to be the most helpful was the video resources from all of the conferences in the last few years, which have speakers ranging from Tobias Smith to even Executive Director of the US-China Institute, Clayton Dube! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2URGLZW5UQ) The site as a whole offers a great extension from the topics we discussed in the seminar and also some new information such as the dynamic between people in the sprawling city of Shanghai as well as what Millenial life looks like in China today.
