This wesbite is a rich treasure trove of materials on Asia that even includes lesson plans. I find the primary sources the most useful resources and have pulled primary sources from this website to use in my 10th grade world history class. The sources come with excerpts and full versions with questions. The site is easy to use, one just needs to click the timeline to find resources on the time they want to teacher. I have suggested students of mine to look through this website for their imperialism presenation. Students are asked to present to the class on countries that were colonized in the 19th century and report on different aspects from the perspective of the colonizers and the colonized. One question I have them research is how colonialism affected the indigonous population, another question they must find out is how the imperialist power benefited from colonization. This site has a god sample of documents and lesson plan dealing with imperialism in Asia. Other parts of the website deal with Asian traditions and religion. This would be an excellent resource for a comparative religions unit.
