    Website URL:     https://www.asiasociety.org

    Website Content:

The website covers wide range of information of all Asian countries. It makes easier for teachers to choose which country they would like to cover. As for this review, I just simply looked at the part about China.

    1. Upcoming events about China
      1. This website listed all upcoming Art events regarding Asia or China such as the one in September called Asia Contemporary Art Week
      2. Teachers can introduce interesting art event to students for those who are interested in going.
      3. Teachers can also plan field trip according to the information provided on this website.
    2. Current events or news regarding education changes in Asian countries
      1. It keeps teachers updated with the most advanced knowledge in Asian countries involving art, technology, and how they are applied to education field
    3. Photography and videos
      1. This part is quite interesting because there are photo galleries of local Chinese artist or photographers. There are background stories provided for each photo.
      2. Teacher can definitely use these photos for students to comprehend how life in Asia was presented through their lenses. Students can also do comparison as how different Americans convey messages through photos.

    Use of the Website Content:

As language teachers, we hope students can be exposed to more authentic materials which help them to have deeper insight on the authentic life style that Asian people have in their own countries. We have our photography class in our high school. I’m thinking students can compare their own works with works shown on the website to see if they are able to find similarities and differences. It assists students to see the connection between cultural values and perspectives and how they are presented through art works. This website is a good resource for teachers. However, one downside of this website is that the article levels are a bit higher than high school reading levels. If teachers plan on assign some articles as reading materials,  they might need to be converted the appropriate lexile level to fit students’ needs.
