John Adams created a highly successful opera Nixon in China in 1987. It will be performed in New York at the Metropolitan Opera starting Feb. 2. You can watch it at many movie theaters across the US on Feb. 12. Tomorrow -- Jan. 11 -- the Asia Society will host a webcast discussion between China scholar Orville Schell and opera director (and former instigator of the LA Festivals in the early 1990s) Peter Sellars.
