I chose this website because I was looking for a virtual field trip for my classes that was still informative. This website from the Asian Art Museum on Asian Art gives people the experience of a museum and engagement from the comfort of your home. This is beneficial while I am teaching from home. There are audio tours that you can simply dowload to your phone or tablet. (All of my students are issued iPads.) I like that because they could follow along with one in class or they could do a tour independently that interests them most. There are videos you can watch of the art to make you feel like you are there too. They have over 18,000 pieces in their online collection, so there are ample art displays to explore. The "When Pictures Speak" section would be great to have the students choose a picture and write about what they think it means and how it speaks to them. The website seems quite user friendly as I have been playing around with it. I have been getting lost in the art all morning! I definitely recommend checking it out!
