The website I chose to review was http://www.asianart.org. I chose this website because I was looking for museums about East Asia and this one came up. I found this museum to be of interest due to the most current exhibition at the moment titled, I was, I am, I will be”, which represent healing as a three-part process: reflection on the past, being mindful in the present, and envisioning the future. I think it’s a great message that also aligns with the beliefs of Buddhism. I also really like that they allow the community to use their online library with various articles for people to view that has a lot of information about East Asia cultures, beliefs, etc.

This website can be used in the classroom by allowing students to look into how objects have been preserved for such a long time in the museum. Students can research items of interest in groups or items chosen by the teacher depending on unit. In addition, students can attempt to duplicate art from Asia or look into painting techniques used for their paintings.
