Kindergarteners love to learn different languages, so I've been searching for a website that is kindergarten friendly (read: lots of games and not a lot of required reading) that can teach Mandarin.  I stumbled on the BBC Primary Language program--it has videos, games, and even songs (yes!) that teach Spanish, French, and Mandarin.  It's free and very user friendly.  Topics are age appropriate (sounds, numbers, families, food and drink, etc) and have a short list of vocabulary that the students learn--with audio!  The students can then click to play memory games, learn songs, and watch videos to practice their new vocabulary.  I intend to introduce this as an independent listening station, where kids can explore and go at their own pace.  The animation is catchy and interesting, so I know it'll keep my kids attention.

I would love to hear of any other websites that primary teachers are using to teach Mandarin!
