I remembered that a few of my peers during class discussed creating a lesson around art, and one of the best pieced I saw at the Broad Museum was Takashi Murakami’s pieces. Murakami is a Japanese artist specializing in sculptures and painting. His pieces at the Broad highlight traditional pieces of art but have vibrant colors and are a bit more morbid looking, which makes them very unique. I enjoy his art because of the contrasting, bright colors as well as the detail in his art that makes him one of the best in contemporary and pop art! I would recommend this exhibit for your own personal enjoyment or to use in as pieces to explore in the classroom.
