I just have a bunch of questions that I was wondering about. I thought I'll ask them here that way the answers will be shared by all.
1) Do we share a room? What accomendations do we have in the bedrooms? (eg: internet connection, fridge, sink, etc.)
2) How much spending money would you recommend to start off with from the airport?
3) Because I don't go to UCLA, should I arrange to buy the reader or will I be able to get a copy once I arrive at Jiaotong University?
4) Will there be native students at the university that will be able to show us around and arrange day activities?
5) What about laundry facility?
6) I notice that the Research Paper is due on Sept. 1, how do we arrange to turn that in especially since I'm not from UCLA.
7) Is the weekend trip to Beijing during the weekend of 7/15/-7/17 and are we going to see the Forbidden City or will we also have time to enjoy the city on our own? Where will we stay while we are in Beijing?
8) In the US, when we go out we carry $20 bills and stuff, what is the equilavent in China RMB? In other words, what is a common currency amount we should carry around that'll be sufficient?
9) What is the weather like in Shanghai and Beijing during the summer? In other words, what do you recommend we pack for?
10) Is there any other tips you can provide us to help us get ready for the trip.
