The China in Africa Project (https://chinaafricaproject.com/) "is a non-profit, non-partisan, fully-independent multimedia resource dedicated to exploring every aspect of China’s growing engagement with Africa." It was brought to my attention last summer while I spent a week with a great group of teachers at Georgetown's Contemporary Arabic Studies: Summer Seminars for Teachers, "China in Africa and the Middle East." It provides a combination of first hand accounts and outside articles about the ever expanding relationship that is developing between China and countries in Africa.
I have used the the podcasts and the news articles in my International Relations classes. For example, the article titled "How Chinese Engagement is Helping Kenya to Overcome Educational Challenges," could be read alongside of the podcast titled "A New Generation of China-Africa Scholars is Younger and More Diverse." My students enjoy the podcasts which often feature conversations between Chinese and African scholars (located in China and Africa) or feature experts in the field of study. My students often use the resource for current and timely information about trade deals, development projects, cultural exchanges, and conflicts.
