The Chinese American Museum offers great resources for students and teachers of all grade levels. Since at the moment students are not able to take field trips and go into museums, they can explore this Museum virtually and still be exposed to important discussions and topics. The museum offers different exhibits such as Origins: The Birth and Rise of Chinese American Communities in Los Angeles, which explores the growth and development of Chinese Americans. The museum also offers exhibits on the journeys of Chinese immigrants to the United States, with a focus in their journey to Los Angeles. This is relevant to my school district because all my students are residents of the city of Los Angeles. It's important for students to be exposed to the history of where they were born. The Chinese American Museum also offers events each month that students can attend virtually. Past event in November included a discussion on Black-Asian solidarity. Another event that students can attend are live story times that read Asian American themed books. This Museum offers many free resources for all students throughout the year.
