I watched this movie a couple of weeks ago.The movie was released in 2010 and was awarded the Hong Kong film award. I really liked the movie because I did not know much about him except he was philosopher and was quoted often. However, I went to a site for his biography during the movie because I was worried it was untrue. The movie seemed to follow the general timeline. However, at the beginning of the movie, he saves a slave from being entombed with his dead master. It seems he is against slavery, but I read that his philosophy was about societal class rituals. It helps to know his biography before watching the movie. VEry informative. It is pretty violent as so far all the films have been. LOL
