The website provided is for Crossing Boundaries in East Asia. This website has basic information about The Silk Road and it provides a map that shows the route traveled. The map is below.

    Silk road map

The website also includes different things like the importance of the silk road, why it is called the silk road, the goods traded by the Chinese, how they traveled, some history and fun facts. This website I feel can be used by elementary and middle school students. The information from this website can also be read to them. This website is a good way for students to learn about the Silk Road before they jump into great detail about it. Finally the students can take a quiz about the page to show their mastery. Students can answer a 3-2-1 exit ticket activity about the website. 3 things they learned about the Silk Road, 2 things they found interesting and 1 thing they ate confused about or still have a question on. I have attached a picture about the 3-2-1 activity.
