EAGLE/East Asia Gateway for Linking Educators https://www.eagle.pitt.edu/

I learned about the website EAGLE/East Asia Gateway for linking Educators through NCTA consortium by Ohio State University this summer. This website is hosted by the University of Pittsburgh and has many resources regarding teaching about East Asia. In particular, I really like its Photo Gallery on EAGLE, which provides many authentic photos regarding topics such as daily life, stores and shops, people, etc in East Asian countries. These photos are perfect visual aids which can be used for a cultural discussion. Except for the Photo Gallery, EAGLE also has Lesson Materials, where we can find useful materials, such as Images of China, to use in my Chinese classes. My students will understand East Asia better by viewing the real-life images. The tour blog on EAGLE is also a good resource for students to read as a traveling reference. Although this website is still new to me, I am planning to try to use the online resources there in my teaching.
