East Asia Research Project

This unit plan incorporates writing, listening & speaking standards appropriate to ELA 9-10 grade. Students will research a variety of topics related to East Asia. They will write a research paper, then with others who chose the same topic as they did, they will create a media presentation to present to the class. Students viewing the project will evaluate the groups using a provided public speaking rubric.

Nice lesson plan, thanks for the rubric you attached. I find it hard to grade students on presentations so I plan on using yours for some of my lessons. For presentations instead of using PowerPoint have you considered using Prezi, Emaze or Powtoon? They help make the PowerPoint more animated and exciting for students to see.
