    As with most National Geographic sites there are such great historical references to the East European cultures including East Asians and Native Americans.

     

    This site is easy to move through and easy reading.

    I can use this site with my high school students by having them read the articles and make reference to other articles within it. As I concentrate a lot on geographical references, I found this to be one of the best for my students to try to visualize the Asian influences that made its way to the US.

    Prevailing theories suggest that Native Americans are descended from a group of East Asians who crossed the Bering Sea via a land bridge perhaps 16,500 years ago, though some sites may evidence an earlier arrival. (See "Siberian, Native American Languages Linked—A First [2008].")
