The Education About Asia (EAA) website, http://www.asian-studies.org created by the Association for Asian Studies, is a treasure trove of resources and information for teaching about Asia. It is almost overwhelming how much information there is on the site. There are various publications including: Asia Shorts, Key Issues in Asian Studies, Asia: Past & Present, and Education about Asia.  Each of these publications addresses specific topics dealing with Asia.

The Association for Asian Studies sponsors many different conferences throughout the country. Information about the conferences is contained on the website. The conferences would be a great opportunity to learn more about Asia and teaching about Asia.

There are specific sections of the website for jobs and resources. The site has links to many other websites that contain specific information about a myriad of subjects dealing with Asia.

It is very easy to get caught up in the website and spend hours reading the various articles, checking out the conferences, clicking on the links and checking out further information. This is definitely a website every teacher should have bookmarked.
