This website sounds like it would be a good source of evidence if you did a trial on U.S. President Harry Truman that poses the question: Hero or War Criminal? I know you have done something similar in your classroom, but to introduce these voices and images into evidence would have a chilling effect on any courtroom. Of course I think it make sense to balance this evidence with first-hand accounts, including voices and images, from survivors of the Pearl Harbor bombings. There must be a website that contains this information and I think introducing both perspectives would add to a lively discussion, debate, and case. Students would be talking about this kind of information far beyond the classroom.

Where is the link? Am I missing it listed somewhere?
I'll google around for the video mentioned too.

This is a very straight forward and easy website to use for anyone interested in using primary documents from eye-witness accounts of the bombing of Hiroshima. This website is full of the transcripts used for the video HIROSHIMA WITNESS produced by Hiroshima Peace Cultural Center and NHK. I used this website for my Asia unit and am looking forward to drawing more from it in the future. Its easy navigation and access would use be great for our student to use if they are interested in doing further research on the topic of eye-witness accounts of the bombing of Hiroshima. I would recommend to everyone even it not used for the classroom but simply as chilling reading on atomic warfare. The one thing I wish the website had added or will add someday (but perhaps left out of dignity or respect which I can totally understand) are picture of the witnesses being interviewed. I believe this visual element adds a very powerful component.

This morning I was listening to NPR and they mentioned Hiroshima again! We have grown hearing about Hiroshima and I find it sad that we have become de-sensitized about the atomic warfare that took place for some of us still during our life time. Anyhow, could you give us the name of the website please?
