I have added another new book to my class library. It is called "The Five Chinese Brothers" by Claire Hucet Bishop. It is the story of five brothers endowed with extraordinary powers. One brother who could drink the sea, was sentenced to death for the accidental drowning of a young boy. His indentical brothers stood in for him and all were protected from execution by their individual super powers. The brother with the steel neck foiled the executioner's ax and so on. The children in my class are still talking about this book.
