Once we get an idea of the schedule - anybody up for touring local establishments when free time is available? I have never been to China or Taiwan, but I have been all over South Korea and Japan. The cities were so full of life and even if it is just to grab some tea and listen to local music or random activities and sporting events if the schedule coincides, anybody else up for events? I pretty much like to try all of the local "must-do" "must eat" "must see" regardless of where I'm at. Stinky tofu? I'm coming for you.

I am definitely up for new adventures in eating and exploration! I am not huge into a night scene at all, but I can do day activities like tea, music, and a little bit of stinky tofu--(I have a really mild soy allergy) I am really hoping for some time in Beijing to be able to see Mao!!! Fingers are crossed that there isn't something going on in Tiananmen Square that would prevent it from happening!

Apparently Tainan is THE foodie place to be at in Taiwan and has a famous night market/food hall scene. Definitely going to bring the cash and camera phone! Also, I came across a Taiwanese baseball schedule - just in case we come across a game while we are in one of the towns. http://www.cpblenglish.com/p/schedule.html
