http://www.geoteach.org is a great website to teach students about geography. This site includes three great lesson plan units to help broaden students vision of the world. There is a pull-down menu for: Teachers Resources; Forums, Student Resources, Contact Information, and a Facilitator's Guide. There's also a video overview and a video comments section for professional development. I plan on using the "Globalization Unit." This unit compares China, Japan, Mongolia, North & South Korea, and Taiwan - economic, social/cultural, politcal, physical/environmental areas. It's very easy to use with or without computer skills. This is an excellent site!
