Hi, my name is Kristina Jelenic and I teach 6th grade Ancient Civilizations and English at Fleming Middle School in Lomita. I was born and raised in San Pedro, CA. I enjoy doing outdoor activties, and I love learning about other cultures. I am very excited to go to China and Japan. My travels have mostly consisted of visiting family in Southeastern Europe, so this will be a wonderful experience for me. I am thrilled that I can finally become more aquainted with an area that I spend so much time teaching about, and I feel lucky to be able to have such knowledgable guides!

The Palo Alto High School news reported on our fellow traveler Jaclyn Edwards's upcoming adventure. Have you made sure that your school newspaper knows you are China and Japan bound? Please do spread the word and promise to do an interview with student journalists upon your return.

Jaclyn -- thanks for spreading the word.
