Hi, people
Wonder how SH looks like?
The following website displays more than 200 pictures of SH.
It is part of the personal website created by "鉄人52号.”
(maybe you don't want to see them if you prefer getting
surprised when you actually get there.)

Some Explanations:

*"新世紀・開発と発展篇 1-2" << Modern of SH
*"都会の素顔篇 1-12" << The profiles of Modern SH: mixture of Old&New

Once we arrive where do we need to go? Will it be easy us to recognize where at the international school we are supposed to check in and will there be someone there 24 hours because people will be arriving at different times of the day? I arrive at the ariport around 8:30pm so I should get there later at night.
Thanks
Mika Yokoyama
P.S Do we need to bring our own towles and sheets?
Directions - Attached is a Word doc. with the Tongji address in English, Chinese and pinyin. After you arrive, I strongly recommend that you take a taxi directly to campus. You will likely be approached by solicitors as you exit the airport. DO NOT accept rides from them. Head for the taxi stand to the right of the exit; if you cannot find it, ask an airport security guard to direct you to the taxi attendant. Have the taxi take you to the Tongji University Service Center for International Students (Tongji Da Xue guo ji jiao liu xue yuan) at 1239 Siping Road (Shanghai Siping Lu, yi er san jiu hao). The taxi should drop you off right in front of the building. The taxi fare should be around 130 RMB - pay the exact fare on the meter; you do not need to tip the driver.
Check-in - I will be working in the International Student Center lounge, and will meet you and help you check in. The check-in counter is open 24 hours, so if I am not there, one of the counter attendants will be able to help you.
Bedding - Bedding is provided, so you do not need to bring your own sheets, etc. You may want to just bring some towels.

This snapshot was taken at Jiu Zhai Gou, a village type city in Sichuan Province, just a 10 hour busride from Chengdu. The picture reflects the contrasting environment we see here, and in Shanghai...meaning that it's not smoggy, the sun is shining, the air is fresh, it's not humid, and the sights are incredibly beautiful.

This is my online journal where I have posted my pictures for submission...since I am having trouble posting on this forum!

Hi Clay and everyone,
Please post your photos (or links to your online albums) in the photo competition thread, not the news thread, etc. Clay's got some great shots. Check them out.
