I teach elementary, and most of my students are familiar with Western Art but I believe this website would be a great resource for my students to see art being created at the same time period in a different part of the world. I have been creating a curriculum with my 5th grade students asking them to look at art from other countries, primarily we have been focusing on Folk Art but I think it would be beneficial to show students artwork from other countries that is Modern and is current. I want students to know that their is more diversity in the art world then what is being created in Europe and how influential that artwork is.

I think I could potentially have students do a research assignment where they search their own Modern and Contemporary Asian Artists to see what is being created.
