I found the most wonderful website showcasing issues from a Harvard magazine called Yisei. Yisei means second-generation in Korean and the magazine is a bi-annual student-written publication devoted to representing Harvard's Asian-American community. Most issues center around Korean-American issues and cultural identities. The wesite is very easy-to use and consists of mission page and then a collection of issues. Most issues can be accessed online and each is absolutely engrossing, imformative and well-written. There are articles, photographs and artwork by the students and they are all fabulous. I particularly enjoyed reading the articles and I plan to visit again. My favorite article so far is entitled "An American in Seoul" and it can be found in Vol. 17 No. 1 Spring 2004. Many of the articles discuss the most fascinating cultural aspects of the Korean-American experience and most would be very appropriate to read and discuss in a high school classroom.
