Oh I've been looking to learn Chinese(cantonese) to supplement my martial arts training. I'll look around and see if it can help. Thanks for the link!

Growing up with Chinese in this case refers to the language, but I was wondering if this series offers cultural aspects of the Chinese.

This is an excellent website for learning both Chinese language and culture. If you watch the “Lesson 96” episode, you will learn about the customs of Chinese New Year and some taboos. The site also allows you to download the script with Pinyin, which is the phonetic system to help you pronounce Chinese words.

The only thing I don’t like about it is that there’s no lesson title starting from lesson 61 to lesson 100. Viewers have to click each episode to find out what the content is about.

成长汉语 Growing up with ChineseEntertaining, fun and easy to follow. This series has one hundred episodes, each fifteen minutes in length. The series´ aim is to use dramatic skits to teach three hundred of the most commonly spoken Chinese phrases to teenagers. It is hosted by Charlotte MacInnis, a television host who is known to Chinese audiences as Ai Hua.

This series is great. I've used this series, among others, to learn Chinese. Sadly, I will never spend enough time in China to really master the language, but these lessons can help. They are all very short, with english before and after. Charlotte is a star on Chinese TV. So if you are interested in trying out a new language, this is a cost free way to try.

Thanks for the great resource! I've been looking for something to help me and my wife with some of the trickier pronunciations.
