The government has proposed that TV commercials for fortune telling and fung shui services and products should only be allowed after midnight and can't have popular celebrities in them because they might influence the young people. I find it interesting that the government would want to dissuade viewers from superstition when our government, and indeed our advertising machine, live and thrive off of our superstition. In Hong Kong, the debate seems to be, "Can we allow unproven science to be used in advertisements?" whereas here our Congress debates whether or not you can say "dick" in prime time.
Fascinating, no?
