This is a very rich resource that I’ve earned access from attending the National Korean Studies at the Korean Cultural Center in Los Angeles. The website will take you to a rich lessons and resources for K-12 classrooms in teaching East Asia particularly Korea. This was authored and edited by Mary Connor for the National Korean Studies Seminar in Los Angeles. It starts with History of East Asia focused in Korea in relation with China, Japan, and other countries of the world in accordance with California History Social Science Framework for K-12. It also includes lessons about the traditional writings and language of Korea, Culture and the Arts. It also has lessons and resources on Korean economics, science, technology and tourism. I enjoyed using some of them in “asianifying” the lessons of my special education students in the alternate curriculum. I wish to encourage my fellow teachers to try and use this resource with your students in all grade levels.
