I enjoyed your lesson, Suzanne. I liked the inclusion of Japanese terms and the pre-lessons and discussion questions. It is simple and direct yet allows for comparisons and contrasts with opportunities for others to share their family histories or traditions.

In this lesson, third grade students learn about the art of Japanese tea ceremony: how the tradition is steeped in ritual, purpose, and cultural identity.
