I had the pleasure of taking a summer course offered by USC last summer. The name of the course is KAFE, "Bring Korea into the Classroom." I know that they are taking this year off to revamp the program (they don't have too, it's already great!). Teachers from across the country were hosted in a hotel in Koreatown. We attended class in the morning at USC, and usually had a field trip in the afternoon. We tasted Korean food, spoke Korean, visited a Buddhist temple, and had the opportunity to network with other teachers with the common effort to integrate Korean history, culture, food, etc., into our classroom. If you have a chance, you cannot miss out on this great opportunity. You will be treated like royalty, but most importantly, you will learn a lot!
