This is a kid friendly website that would be a great start to introduce students to the culture of Japan.  Students can begin looking for information, such as the population, location, etc. about Japan.  They can even see how many years of school Japanese kids are required to attend school.  There is a side bar with many more links to more specific topics about Japan.  For example, if students wanted to learn about magna, they can click on the link and get more in-depth information about that topic.  This site is filled with lots of photographs so students can see how Japanese people lived, eat, etc.  The url is: http://web-japan.org/kidsweb/language/index.html.  It is a great and versatile website for kids and I would have my students navigate through the website to familiarize themselves with the culture of Japan.
